SUITCASES

“Each suitcase carries stories and fragments of places I have visited. Materials and objects are brought together into compositions in which time, place, and personal history are perceptible.”

Suitcases originated from the union of two collections: sand and matchboxes, both derived from items collected around the world. These Memory Boxes consist of small sand modules of 2×5 cm that together form a silent composition. Each block carries its own origin and materiality and is a small artwork in itself. It represents a unique place on this Earth, with its own geography, history, culture, and experience.

Together they function as a globally rhythmic, tangible memory, in which individual fragments merge into a collective story.
