SINUOSITY

Sand is transported by wind, water and ice. Deserts, dunes and beaches are in constant migration and transformation. Because of the great diversity in shape and grain size, landscapes are formed by the action of wind, dunes are displaced and sandstorms are created.

Movements and sand drifts are at the core of Sinuosity. Extremely thin, winding forms do not follow a predetermined pattern, but seem to arise from the natural force of aeolian processes such as gusts of wind, dust storms, hurricanes and cyclones. They balance between equilibrium and instability and emphasize the tension between movement and fragility.

Sand becomes a sign, a rhythm in space, a record of wind and time.
