A world in grains.

A unique collection of sands from across the world, ranging from distant deserts, shorelines and riverbeds to volcanic slopes and glacial plains. The project presents a systematic ordering of a global sand collection in which each gathered sample is cataloged like a brushstroke and labeled with its precise place of origin.

Each sand stripe bears the imprint of a place, a moment, a movement — and for me, each one is a memory or a wish. Together they compose a map of the Earth.
